How an AUTOCPR class works
You register and study online, then finish with a hands-on skills session on smart manikins.
The smart manikin system records your performance and gives feedback during practice. After you pass the skills evaluation, you receive certification under the rules of your course.
The four steps
Register and pick a time
Book online for any hour the station is open, 9 AM to 7 PM daily. No waiting for a scheduled class.
Complete the online part
Do the course's online coursework before you arrive.
Practice on smart manikins
The session is self-directed: there is no instructor on site. An on-screen system guides the skills test, records your compressions and gives feedback. It takes about 45 minutes.
Pass the skills check and get certified
For the American Red Cross smart manikin courses, your certificate is issued as soon as you pass. Certification is valid for 2 years.
Courses
| Course | Typical learners |
